Crooked

"What are you?"
A question asked by many
Tumbling words come along.
Pose it to me,
And the instant reply is-
Distant.

Crazy, Happy, Passionate...
Words used to describe me
But what remains unsaid
Is that it's all very new!
Reflected by something bright-
Orange.

Surrounded by love
Occupied with company
But sitting in my room
Solitude my companion
Silently watch me and you'll see-
Happiness.

Interference prickles
Independence bursting at the seams
Distaste the reflection
Yet, the dark periods shrink
And one thing not in the heart or mind-
Influence.

Never ending patience a fixture
Sensitivity in moderation
What makes me?
Who am I?
Happy, Angry, Childish, Mature but-
Smiling.

This poem, which I wrote a couples of years back, is my perception of the person that I am and want to show the world. You don't have to write to be able to present yourself to the world around you. All that has to be done is to take a moment aside and look at yourself, as well as within yourself.

P.S- This has been reposted due to some technical issues. So I apologise for the inconvenience caused.

"You" are what you want to be

YOU.

A simple world, but means a whole lot more than we give it credit for. When someone uses it, it can mean they are talking about me or someone standing right next to me. But what is important is to see who they are pointing to, and of course about what they are talking about.

It took me a long time to figure out the meaning of 'You', when it came to revolve around me. Because we should never forget that You and I go hand in hand. When I discovered what 'I' meant for me, it was easy to follow others perception of me.

And this is my understanding of the word.

Y = Yearn for an
O = Opportunity
U = and Understanding

What does the stand for you guys? Tell me.
